TALLIE was saved with her two siblings from a kill shelter in Texas and brought to the safety of the rescue in Sebec, Maine. Tallie is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. She is too young to be heartworm tested, but will need testing when she is between 7-9 months and then annually. She has an estimated date of birth of 21 July 2018 and at the beginning of December weighed around 15 pounds. She has been listed as a Husky, however, we have no way of knowing for sure what breed she is, and it is up to you to decide what breed you believe she is and be sure you have the lifestyle and capabilities to care for that breed.
TALLIE with her sister and brother have been living in the house since they arrived at the rescue at the end of September. They are all extremely well socialized with other dogs and are very friendly and affectionate with people. They use to the dog door to go out and play and for the most part do their business, however, they will still go and use the puppy pads that I keep down for other pups.
TALLIE is a very affectionate girl, who is always close to where I am. She is going to be a very loyal companion to her human and is very focused on everything going on. I free feed since there are 20 dogs living here in the house and Tallie does like to guard the food and will complain when the other dogs all go to eat. She isn't aggressive, but it should be something that needs to be watched and stopped if she tries to be in control.
Tallie is extremely sweet and very cute and we expect a lot of interest in her and her siblings. We would love to adopt her with another of her sibling. Husky's are a lot of work when they are older and we are looking for a family with experience with huskie's or similar breed. They require a very active lifestyle, throwing a ball in the back yard for 10 minutes doesn't cut it for these dogs. They are also very strong-willed dog and a family that understands this and knows how to work with them is imperative.
We do not have cats or livestock at the rescue and she has not been around any children at this time so we are unable to comment on how she would act or be around them.
If you are husky experienced and have the lifestyle to accommodate a husky or two, and are interested in giving this sweet girl a wonderful, active, fun, adventurous life full of love, please follow the link below to the adoption application
.
All dogs (except dogs saved from China) are available for adoption for an adoption fee of $550. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed.
If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the APPLICATION tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 2-4 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.
Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks.

We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx 8 miles) and approx 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend. If there are options to arrange transport, we will work with you to make it happen.
