|
SCRAPPY was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved. SCRAPPY is neutered, core vaccines, rabies, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 12 February 2019 and at the time of rescue in the middle of April 2019, weighed around 13.00 pounds. He is listed as a Lab / Pit Mix . We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely.
We do not have cats or livestock at the rescue so are unable to comment how any dog is or will be around them.
SCRAPPY is a larger than life pup who loves to be involved in everything. He is fun, loving, affectionate, active, is great with other dogs, and loves to play and chase. He
shares a double kennel with Rousey and they love to play and wrestle and then cuddle up together on their dog bed at nighttime. He does use the dog door to go out into his outside run to do his business, but I cannot say if he is house-trained. Scrappy is a confident boy and is quick to learn.
As with all dogs he will need basic and advanced training so that he can learn his families rules, boundaries and expectations. SCRAPPY is very responsive and I feel that he will be easy and fun to train and will be eager to please. He is a gentle boy and I think would make a great family dog.
Scrappy would be great in a family environment but he must understand that his is not in charge and that rules and boundaries must be followed, he is confident and so I am sure he would push and test the boundaries. He is young, fun and would be great for an active family to take him on long walks and adventures.
All dogs (except dogs saved from China) are available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $550.
. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed.

Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks. http://www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org
