WAZARI arrived from Afghanistan on 20 April 2021. Wazari is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm & tick disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and microchipped. When she left Afghanistan she weighed around 40 pounds and she has an estimated date of birth of 1 September 202. We do not know what breed of dog she is, so it is important for families to take the time to watch the video's and look at the pictures to be sure that they have the lifestyle that this beauty needs.

During her time in Afghanistan she became best friends with Apollo, who was also transferred to GaDaH at the same time as Wazari. She is great with other dogs, but very cautious with people. She has not had much exposure and so although she wants to get the fuss, love and attention, it takes her some time to build up the confidence to do so.

Wazari needs  a patient, loving, active family. A family that understands that another change is going to be very stressful, it will take time for her to build trust and confidence and so going slow is important.  It is required that the family does have a secure fenced in yard for safety issues and they must be active as Wazari  is a medium/large sized, young adult who would benefit from an active life. 

When she has gained trust and confidence, she is going to be an amazing girl, she is so happy playing and chasing, she does bark at the squirrels and unusual noises. She has never shown any aggression, and after the hell she endured in Afghanistan, she deserves an amazing life with an amazing family.

Wazari uses the dog door to go outside, however, she will not know to let families know she needs to go outside and so house training is to be expected.
