A PET IS FOR LIFE -
THINK ABOUT THE INVESTMENT!
SMOKEY came to the rescue with his two siblings, Pixie, Stormy and his mother Taffy. He is
around 2 months old, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and microchipped.
We cannot say for sure what breed he is, so we expect families to do their own research on his look and size and decide what breed you think he is and if you have the lifestyle suitable for his needs.
SMOKEY is scheduled for neuter surgery on 9th July 2021 and will be available for adoption after this time. You are welcome to submit the adoption application and plan to adopt on or after 9th July.
SMOKEY has only been at the rescue for a short time and is living in the cat room, with other kittens and a few adults. He is a sweet, affectionate, playful boy who has medium length hair.
We are looking for a family that has time for a kitten and understands that cats can live on average for 13-14 years, however, it is not uncommon for cats to leave over 25 years and so this is a long term commitment.
Families must be prepared to provide cat trees and stimulation toys for the cats to play with and provide a healthy, mentally stimulating and fulfilling life.
All cats are fed Rachael Ray Nutrish PEAK Grain-Free Natural Woodland Catch Recipe with Chicken, Trout & Salmon dry cat food and varying wet food daily.
ALL kittens are available for adoption for an adoption fee of $200
This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas, or other locations, countries to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada.
Due to borders being closed, it is up to families to call the US and Canadian borders to find the current details on border crossing. Animal Welfare is deemed essential in the US, but quarantine rules entering back into Canada must be followed.
If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the ADOPTION INFO tab, complete, then submit the CAT APPLICATION. Our process takes around 1-2 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.
Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks.
