ROSIE arrived from South Korea on 12 July 2021. Rosie is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm & tick disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and microchipped. When she left South Korea she weighed around 45 pounds and she has an estimated date of birth of 16 October 2020. It is thought that she is a Jindo mix. Jindo is a South Korean breed of dog.

Rosie was saved by the non-profit organization Save Korean Dogs, from "Hell Dog Farm", a dog meat farm and auction house, which held an estimated 800 dogs kept purely to be tortured to death then sold for meat. When Rosie arrived at the rescue, she was scared, skittish and shy - as you can imagine, however, after a few days she really started coming out of her shell and her beautiful personality is shining through. She is still a little nervous with people - she wants the love and affection, but is a little hesitant. She has so much fun playing with the other dogs and pups and gets so excited if she is chilling outside and some other dogs come out to play.

Rosie is going to need a patient, loving, active family. A family that understands that another change is going to be very stressful, it will take time for her to build trust and confidence and so going slow is important. It is required that the family does have a fenced in yard for safety issues and they must be active as Rosie is a young, medium/large breed active girl.

Rosie does use the dog door to go outside and do her business, although I do not think that she would know to let you know she wants to go out - so house training should be expected. She walks ok on a leash and she rides great in the car.
