|
KATARA was saved from a kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5th August 2023.
KATARA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, monthly preventatives and is microchipped with Fi Nano. She has an estimated date of birth of July 2018 and at the time of transport weighed around 88 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind.
We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue YouTube channel and photo albums on our Facebook page to see a LOT of pictures and videos.
KATARA entered the shelter in Texas as a stray, her owners were found, but they stated they did not want her back as they couldn't afford to care for her. They said that her name is KODA. We are keeping her name Katara whilst at the rescue, purely because all her paperwork is in the name of Katara. She was picked up with a Mastiff, who was possibly from the same family, and she was great with that dog and other dogs.
We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.
KATARA is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for an adoption fee of $550.
Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.
