Eloise was rescued by GaDaH from Irving Kill Shelter. She was due to be killed on Tuesday 2nd August 2011.
She had been admitted to Irving along with 3 puppies, on 12th July 2011, all were adopted out and she was left alone in a shelter that no doubt smelt of fear and death.
With the help of some good people in the rescue world we arranged to get ELOISE transported down to San Antonio.
She is now living at the GaDaH household amongst other adult and puppy GSDs
She is skinny and needs to gain weight, she has droopy nipples, obviously from having pups, these will shrink and pull back over time and when she has gained weight and her skin isn't sagging.
She is timid and shy of people, it is obvious she has been abused as she cowers often. She is wary of people when she first meets them, but gets more confident after a few minutes.
She gets on with other dogs, however, does bark at them when she first sees them, she just needs time to adjust and feel safe and secure.
The video clip was taken, Sunday 7th August, Eloise has only been at GaDaH for 4 days so far, she is the one with the pink collar on, having lots of fun!
If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, and giving her the loving home that she deserves, please contact me.

Give a Dog a Home - San Antonio does conduct thorough applications, requires two letters of reference, a vet recommendation, a dog meet visit, and at least one home visit before any application is approved. This is to be sure that the right family is found and so not cause any further upset or stress on dogs that have already had a tough time.
