LASKA (meaning "LOVE" in Czech) was saved from Fort Worth Animal Shelter with literally 12 hours to spare due to the shelter being full. She was very emaciated, and had bad infections around her neck, we are guessing where she had been kept outside with a very tight collar. Her neck has healed up nicely, and she has had a few baths to help with her hair.
She is on the small side, so will probably reach around 60 pounds and will be good at that size.
Being a long-haired GSD if grooming is not maintained her hell will very quickly become matted and then unmanageable, so this is a consideration before thinking to adopt her.
LASKA has been abused as she will cower if she thinks she is in trouble, so it will take her sometime to build up trust, but with some patience and lots of love this girl will be an amazing family addition. LASKA can get a little protective initially and so care and time will be needed to make her feel safe and secure in her new home.

She is very gentle, sweet, yet playful too. She lives with the pack which ranges from 8 week old puppies to 7 year adults and gets on great with them all, although at times she does show a little alpha tendency, so living with not so many dogs she may want to be the alpha, however, I do not think she would challenge if there was a stronger alpha dog.
