KEN is a handsome black beauty whom we think is a Black Mouth Cur mix. He has an estimated date of birth of 21 August 2013 and weighs around 70 pounds. He is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped.

KEN was the only male from a litter of 8 and he has grown up around all the dogs in the rescue. He is great with other dogs and loves to play with his siblings still here at the rescue, HAYLEIGH, JERSEY and SCARLETT. 

KEN is a very affectionate boy and it is a competition between him and JERSEY who can wag their tail and their bodies the hardest when they see me.

KEN can be cautious upon initial greeting but he soon warms up and although of course loves treats, he is happy to just get lots of tummy rubs, ear scratches and love.

Although pretty well mannered, KEN does jump a little when he gets excited and he does need basic and advanced obedience training. He is very quick to learn and eager to please.

KEN would benefit a family that has the time to work with him to gain his trust, to train with him so everyone knows and understands the boundaries and expectations and to love him and give him the wonderful, exciting life that he deserves.

KEN is great with children and just wants to share in his love and can be very gentle. 

We do NOT have cats at the rescue so are not able to comment how he would behave around cats, but he has not shown any kind of prey drive. So any interest would most likely be on a curious level.

KEN is very sweet and affectionate and deserves a family that can give him the love and happiness that this stunning girl desires.

KEN is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450.

KEN is currently located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine, however, we post in states along the east coast where transport is available.this gives our precious saved souls more exposure and once adopted, we are able to save more dogs from the kill shelters in Texas that get 3 days before they are killed.
