SPIRO was saved from BARC shelter and was in a much worse state than the shelter had said.

He was taken immediately to Leon Valley Vet Clinic where Dr. Meier determined him to be extremely anemic,dehydrated, severe demodex and skin infections. He couldn't stand up and was immediately put on IV fluids and anti-biotic.

Over the past few days SPIRO has been making slight progress, he is eating on his own which is a great relief and has had two blood panels to monitor his progression.

SPIRO will be coming home to the rescue to continue his medicated baths and oral anti-biotic and will be going back to the vets for monitoring and assessment.

SPIRO will be available for adoption when he is healthy, which hopefully will be a month or so. We will process any applications so that when he is healthy he can go straight to his new perfect home.
