KIMBA was saved from Garland Animal Shelter on 17th January 2015. She was an owner surrender because the family could no longer care for her.

When KIMBA got to the rescue she was very fearful of the dogs and of me, it is clear she has had no socialization and has not been treated the best since she did cower a lot. She has somewhat relaxed with me and is wanting to mix more with the other dogs, albeit just to smell and get to know them, she still likes to sit back and watch what is going on.  She does come up to me for treats and has now realized that having her chest, belly and ears scratched/rubbed is a nice experience and welcomes it when I do that.

KIMBA is going to take that extra special person/family that will give her space to settle into her new home and to learn to trust and explore at her own pace. She will need a confident, alpha person/family that she can feel secure with and not make her own insecurities feel justified. I have no doubt that with a little bit of time and patience she will gain her confidence and a truly beautiful personality will shine through.

KIMBA is a long-haired White German Shepherd dog and so has a very high grooming need. The family must understand and have the time and experience to give her what she needs in grooming care.

KIMBA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm tested NEGATIVE and microchipped. She currently weighs approximately 55-60 pounds and has an estimated birth date of January 2014.

KIMBA is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.
