SAYDEE was saved from Fort Worth Animal Services on 5th February 2015. She had been picked up by animal control after being hit and dragged by a car causing her cuts and a bruised lung.

SAYDEE was initially quite since at the rescue which is understandable, she came having a bruised lung and staples in her muzzle. However, since her injuries healed and she had her heart-worm treatment she has become much more social.
Although she is not the kind of GSD that likes to go chasing around with the other dogs, she does play with them and is often found lying on the porch watching them and their craziness.

SAYDEE is very affectionate and loves to come up and walk around the garden with me, or lay as close to wherever I am sitting. She is not imposing and doesn't force herself upon you, rather waits for her turn or to catch your eye and then lures you over to her.

SAYDEE will be suitable for a relatively active family, she is 3 years old, which is still young for a German Shepherd Dog in terms of energy. SAYDEE will need a family that understands the German Shepherd intelligence and has the time and willingness to spend with her - giving her that much needed stimulation, with both mental and physical exercise.

SAYDEE will benefit from basic and advanced training with her new family in order to show her boundaries and expectations, training also helps bond and allows both German Shepherd and human to learn each others body language which is very important.

SAYDEE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed and micro-chipped. SAYDEE  was heart-worm positive, but received treatment on 17/18 March 2015 and has had no problems on her recovery at all.  SAYDEE has an estimated date of birth of 1 February 2012 and at the time of rescue weighed 72.20 pounds.

Although LOCATED in TEXAS we are using Rescue Road Trips LLC. and P.E.T.S. LLC,  both highly reputable animal rescue transport companies to re-locate our dogs from rescue to meet their families along the East Coast (This allows us to save more dogs from the high rate kill shelters here in Texas). These are private companies and their transport fee's (which is paid directly to them) are $175 and $185 per dog. This fee is in addition to what you would pay the rescue for the adoption fee.
