WHISKEY was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 24 March 2015.

When I brought him to the rescue and introduced him to the other dogs, it was as if he had just been re-united with his life long friends. He was so happy, his little tail never stopped wagging and he was panting with excitement. Needless to say he has not stopped running around and playing since then. He doesn't have a preference to the dogs he plays with, he can run and chase the little ones, or be chased and wrestle with the adult German Shepherds. He is happy, confident and active.  When he is not charging around, or wresting, he is close by and waits patiently for some love and affection.

 WHiSKEY will benefit from an active family one that has time to give him both mental and physical exercise and stimulation. He needs a family that is fun and loves to have a happy dog charging around.

WHISKEY I feel would be great with children, as long as they understood he is a dog and not a toy, to be given his space and respected. I feel he would be their best friend.  

WHISKEY, like all dogs will benefit from some basic and advanced training with his family, this not only helps to strengthen bonds, but allows both human and dog to learn each others personality and body language which is a vital thing in dog ownership.  

WHISKEY is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, and micro-chipped. He did test light positive for heart-worm disease at the shelter, but when I took him to Deason Animal Hospital for treatment, they tested him with IDEXX test and he tested NEGATIVE.  Dr. Deason explained that a lot of the "cheaper" tests often test FALSE POSITIVE which is why he always re-tests with the top of the range HW test before any treatment is given.

WHISKEY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $170
