RICKY was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 26th April 2015.

RICKY was not in the slightest bit intimidated when I brought him back to the rescue and he saw all the dogs, his tail was constantly wagging and he just wanted to get out there and get amongst the other dogs. When I let him with them, his tail never stopped wagging and after all the initial smelling and learning who is who - he was soon running, playing and chasing with them all.

RICKY has been great with the dogs of all sizes, the small terriers and the large German Shepherd Dogs, as long as he is playing he is happy. When everyone is relaxing, he is in the middle of them all stretched taking his nap, re-energizing ready for play time when he wakes up.

RICKY does jump up a little but that will e easy to fix with consistent guidance and training. RICKY is generally otherwise well mannered, he is affectionate and will present his belly for you to rub.

RICKY will benefit from an active family who can take him on adventures and let him take in the sights, smells and sounds the world has to offer. He walks good on a leash, and is responsive. I believe he would be very easy to train. He would absolutely benefit from basic and advanced training with his new family. This will enable a stronger bond and allows both family and RICKY to learn more of each others personalities and body language.

RICKY is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested negative for heart-worm disease and is micro-chipped. RICKY has an estimated date of birth of 23 April 2013 and at the time of rescue he weighed 28.70 pounds.

RICKY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $300
