SPUD was saved from San Antonio Animal Services on 15th May 2015. He had been picked up as a stray and had a slight wound to his head, which has been shaved to allow cleaning and quicker healing.
SPUD is a shy little boy, although when he feels he can trust you he will gently roll over and present his belly for you to rub. He isn't too bothered with the other dogs although at the moment he is keeping himself to himself clearly wondering what is going on
SPUD is very sweet and affectionate, I do think he has been exposed to some form of abuse, but nothing that a loving family and home can't rectify. SPUD will take a little while to warm up, but then when he feels safe and secure he will be happy and content. I can imagine SPUD enjoying the lap-dog type of life-style, although still enjoying walks and other dog-loving adventures.
SPUD is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested negative for heart-worm disease and is micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 12 January 2013 and at the time of rescue weighed just under 15 pounds, which I imagine to be his typical average weight.
SPUD is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $300
