SHANDY was saved from San Antonio Animal Services on 15th May 2015. Her actual name is Sandy, however, since we already have a Sandy in rescue we have modified her name slightly. SHANDY was an owner surrender to the kill shelter on 12th May 2015. Her paperwork shows that she was adopted from the shelter as a young puppy on 27 January 2010.
SHANDY is very loving and affectionate and on the drive home wanted to sit on my knee. At the rescue she has been very quiet and she seems confused as to what is going on. I would really like to get this precious girl into a loving forever family soon as I think she is missing her family badly.
SHANDY walks great on the leash and she is very sweet and gentle. As mentioned she is being quite at the rescue, so it is hard to say what her true personality will be like, but I imagine her to be very loving, somewhat of a lap-pet, but who likes to go on walks and adventures as she does like to smell around when outside.
SHANDY is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested negative for heart-worm disease and is micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 26 August 2009 and at the time of rescue weighed 22 pounds, which I imagine to be her typical average weight.
SHANDY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $300
