WESLEY was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 20th May 2015.

WESLEY was very confident when I first brought him back to the rescue and climbed out of the pen I had him in whilst I was going back to the car and had gone through the house and was outside exploring with all the other dogs in rescue checking him out.

WESLEY is not shy of letting the other dogs know that he wants his own space, but he has not shown any aggression at all. He is loving and affectionate and loves getting his belly rubbed and ears scratched.

WESLEY would be suited to a family that is familiar with the smaller size dogs. He is active and would love to go on walks, hikes and any dog activity / sport. WESLEY will need basic and advanced obedience training which is best if this is done by all family members so that boundaries, expectations and learning each others body language and personalities

WESLEY is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed and tested NEGATIVE for heart-worm disease. RINGO has an estimated date of birth of 13 May 2012 and at the time of rescue weighed 31.10 pounds.

WESLEY has had his coat shaved down due to the bad matting, so will need to have a family that has the time and / or able to cover the expense of grooming.

GaDaH is not in a position for expense or time to get our dogs groomed and so expect to need to have him groomed when you get him home.

WESLEY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $300.
