BEANIE was saved from Fort Worth Animal Shelter in Texas. He was transported from Texas to Sebec, Maine and arrived at the rescue on 12th August 2015.

BEANIE is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 2 July 2014 and at the time of rescue he weighed around 29 pounds.

BEANIE is a fun loving, happy go-lucky, energetic, lively, did I mention energetic handsome young boy. He gets on great with all other dogs, although at times can be a bit of a bully, but not in an aggressive way, he will back off if challenged. BEANIE is very responsive, although he is an intelligent boy and if he thinks he can get away with something he will, he watches closely and I can see him thinking how he can do the same thing.

BEANIE will need a family that is energetic, goes lots of places and lets him experience the sights, smells and sounds that the world has to offer. He is they type of dog that I can imagine sat on the front of your canoe, hiking by your side, or laying on the beach. He will need minimum basic and advanced training and will need activities that keep his mind challenged and engaged. BEANIE will need a family that has strong personalities and keeps him in check.

He will provide a lot of fun, lots of cuddles and love and I think he would be great with a family and children so he can run and play outside. We do not have cats in the rescue and so I cannot say how he would be with cats.

BEANIE is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.

The rescue is located in Sebec, Maine, 04481 and we do prefer if families can travel up to meet the dog before taking them home to start their new lives, however, we do understand that this is not always possible and will work with you in finding suitable transport to get them to you. This may come at an additional cost to the adopter
