ROSEAELLA was saved from Fort Worth Animal Care and Control a High Kill Shelter in Texas.
ROSEABELLA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 3 November 2012 and at time of rescue she weighed around 68 pounds.
ROSEABELLA is a beautiful big girl who still has a good amount of weight to gain. She is extremely playful, almost puppy-like in her mannerisms, she loves to play and chase the other dogs and is learning to be more gentle with the smaller dogs.
ROSEBELLA did have a puppy with her at the shelter , that a different rescue saved, and here at GaDaH she does try to mother the puppies that we have here, although at can be a little rough. She has improved and does respond to other dogs letting her now to play more gentle and I believe with a little more time, she will understand to keep the rough play to the other dogs her size. She is in no way aggressive to the smaller dogs, or any of the other rescue dogs.
I do think that in a home environment with another dog should could have alpha tendencies. I am not sure she would be aggressive to get the alpha spot, but she will try for the position.
We have three rabbits and ROSEAELLA sits beside their hutches in the living room and watches with fascination as they run around playing. She has never tried to get to the rabbits and I do not believe that she would do any harm, she is just extremely curious. We do not have cats in rescue and as with the rabbits I do not think she would do them any harm, but since cats will most likely run off I imagine her to chase them and if she got to them would maybe be a little rough with them, so caution and training would be needed if cats were in the family.
ROSEABELLA does have a protection / jealous side to her. She likes to sit or lie next to my chair and gets a little jealous if other dogs come up. She has not shown any aggression, just tries to push them out of the way. She does get corrected on this and is learning that she has to share time with the other dogs and does respond and settles back down.
ROSEABELLA is very intelligent and needs basic and advanced obedience training. It is best for the family to plan to train him as this will set boundaries, expectations and allows both human and dog to learn each others personalities and body language. I believe she would excel and enjoy all training and any kind of activity, she has a lot of energy and is very agile. She would benefit an active family that has the time to spend with him to work on training and bonding and be able to take her to lots of different places so that she can enjoy all the different, sights, smells and sounds the world has to offer.
ROSEABELLA is very sweet and affectionate and deserves a family that can give him the love and happiness that this stunning boy desires.
ROSEABELLA is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450.

ROSEABELLA is currently located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine, however, we post in states along the east coast where transport is available.this gives our precious saved souls more exposure and once adopted, we are able to save more dogs from the kill shelters in Texas that get 3 days before they are killed.
We love it when families can take a trip to meet the dogs before taking them home, but understand this is not always possible and so work in arranging transport to pick up from the rescue in Sebec and can meet up with families around the Middleton, CT area. This can come at an additional cost, generally between $100 - $150 and is paid directly to the transport.
