CERRILL was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services, KILL Shelter in Texas.

CERRILL is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed and micro-chipped and heartworm tested negative. CERRILL has an estimated date of birth of 28 January 2014 and at the time of rescue weighted 14.00 pounds.

CERRILL went to his temporary foster home in Texas whilst waiting for transport up to the rescue in Maine. At first he was scared and skittish, but over the two weeks there he gained confidence and become a love bug.

At the rescue in Sebec, CERRILL lives amongst the other dogs and he is having a great time. He is confident, happy, loving, energetic and very playful. He loves balls, or any toys and will hide under the sofa with some other small dogs playing.

CERRILL apparently does not like being on a leash and so time and patience will be needed to work on training him and getting him used to leash walking

CERRILL would benefit from a family who understands the terrier mentality and needs. He will need basic and advanced obedience and this is always best done with his new family so all can learn each others personalities, body language, expectations and boundaries for all can be set. CERRILL is very affectionate and will either lie on top of my chair or lie beside or on my lap, he is not imposing or needy in that he doesn't constantly want to climb your leg for attention, like many other small dogs.

CERRILL will benefit from a family that is familiar with small terrier breeds and is able to give him the love and affectionate that he deserves. A family that has time and patience to train and guide CERRILL in his new home.

CERRILL is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450.

If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy and giving him the life he needs and deserves our application can be completed and submitted on our website under the APPLICATION tab.

CERRILL is located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. There is a local hotel in Dover-Foxroft that is pet-friendly (approx 6 miles) and several in Bangor (approx 45 miles). We can occasionally arrange transport for dogs from the rescue to Middletown, CT for a fee, to cover volunteer fuel/expenses for $150. This will be dependent upon our volunteers availability so is not guaranteed.
