OK People of the Pack it is time to SPREAD the WORD.
The Partnership with GaDaH and Petco Love FREE Vaccination Event that we had to postpone due to not nice weather is back on.
Yes - We are going to be in DEXTER this coming Saturday - with a bus full of Vaccines ready to protect your cat and / or dog.
There is NO DEMOGRAPHIC requirement, it doesn't matter where you live, how many pets you have or anything, if you can make it and your pet is healthy enough to be vaccinated - we WILL Vaccinate them.
We are going to be at the car park area to the side of Dexter Redemption center - so gather up your empty bottles before you head over and drop them off also.
Please line up in your vehicles at the side of the bus - it might be muddy so be prepared .
Just to remind everyone the vaccines offered are Canine DAPPv and Feline HCP - we do NOT offer Rabies vaccine, you will need to go to a licenced veterinarian for that vaccine.
So - we are on short notice, so please tell everyone you meet, share on your social media, in your local town and community groups and of course tell all your friends and neighbours - try and get the word out to families who might be struggling through the hard times we have endured and lets all work together at PROTECTING our PETS and taking advantage of this FREE VACCINATION OFFER.

GREAT FREE vaccine event this morning in DEXTER. When I arrived at just gone 10am there were people already waiting - which is a GREAT sign.
Just a few snaps of today - I was multi-tasking - but most or the pics are of

taking temps lol - its just the way the timing worked out with me doing paperwork, taking pics and such - was funny.
So - HUGE big thank you to Sam and her wonderful assistant hubby Ollie who are an amazing team to watch - we had some dogs enjoying exploring his beard lol.
ANOTHER HUGE THANK YOU to Dexter Redemption Center for letting us use their parking space, even on their busiest day, it was very much appreciated and made life easy.
THANK YOU of course to everyone who came out with their precious pets, we met some beautiful cats, some funny dogs, with a pit bull having the zoomies and charging around and jumping in the driving seat wanting to take us for a ride.
Of course, thank you to the wonderful people that came out with their pets and to those that gave us a donation - that is appreciated very much.
So - a busy morning for sure - went so quickly, we ran out of fuel in the generator the last hour, but was really too busy to notice other than a slight chill - but thankfully wasn't too much of a cold day today.
We are thinking of doing the last FREE vaccine event, possibly in Dover-Foxcroft next week - I have a LOT going on and with all the new dogs arriving a week on Tuesday, I need to be local so time isn't spent driving too far and back. I will be confirming on Monday, but will give people the opportunity to take advantage of the PETCO LOVE FREE VACCINE event that missed out in the towns we have already been to.
So - a GREAT DAY - I came home and ended up falling asleep - so, clearly I needed that.

in Partnership with PETCO LOVE FOUNDATION
Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Partnership with PETCO LOVE FREE Vaccine Campaign is coming to Dover-Foxcroft.
We are hoping to help as many people as possible ensure their pets are vaccinated for Canine DAPPV and/or Feline HCP.
THIS IS NOT A RABIES CLINIC.
The Piscataquis Ice Arena is very kindly allowing us to use their car park and we will be in the middle, set back from the Farmers Market.
We will be there from 10.30am - 12 noon.
When we are set up - please drive up along side the bus to the front door. Stay in your vehicle with your pets. Dogs must be securely leashed and cats must be in a secure carrier.
This "may" be our last event for a while, so spread the word and let anyone know who might have missed our previous events where we will be.

Again this is NOT a RABIES clinic - you will need to take your pet to a licenced veterinarian to have a rabies vaccine.

Yesterday, (Saturday) was our last Petco Love FREE Vaccination Clinic, for a while anyway. Here are a few pictures of the day, I don't get to take many as I am multi-tasking, maybe next year we will have a photographer join us 
I would like to first and foremost thank Sam, our licenced veterinary technician and her assistant, hubby Olaf, for giving up their Saturday mornings to be a part of this wonderful opportunity and much needed campaign.
It goes without saying that a Massive thank you goes to the Petco Love Foundation and their partner in this annual vaccine campaign Bissel Brother Foundation. Without their huge generosity and foresight in seeing the need this would not have been possible.
I would also like to thank the crew of GaDaH volunteers that came to help - then of course, most importantly EVERYONE who piled their pets into their cars and came along. Also, a big thank you to the locations that allowed us to set up on their property, JSI Store Fixtures in Milo, Guilford Community Fitness Center, Dexter Redemption Center and Piscataquis County Ice Arena
Almost all of the dogs and cats were super friendly, a few were a bit nervous, which is to be expected since what a strange environment going onto a shuttle bus - I was actually surprised more were not nervous.
So many wonderful opportunities are coming our way to help the community and since we are mobile, we really can help many other communities too, which is exciting.
We will definitely be signing up next year and it is possible that Petco Love Annual Free Vaccine Campaign might be offering other vaccines - fingers crossed there. On a side note, they will NEVER offer a rabies vaccine since that has to be administered by a licenced veterinarian.
Make a note on your calendars that MARCH is Petco Loves ANNUAL FREE Vaccine campaign and we hope to see you all and many more people back again next year.

BROWNVILLE BIG TRUCK SHOW
Give a Dog a Home Rescue was invited to attend the Brownville Big Truck Show in one of our local towns.
We accepted and will be there with our "RIDE to SURVIVE" shuttle bus. We will have lots of information to share on our community projects. Some items for fundraising and we may treat the community with a few of our adoptable dogs and pups.

Exciting news Give a Dog a Home Rescue is attending this
wonderful COMMUNITY Event.
We have lots of fundraising items / /pet products, rabbit food, hay, small creature bedding, crates, collars, leashes, pee pads, auto at litter boxes, dog life jackets and SO MUCH MORE all at great low cost prices to help pet parents to get great bargains for their pets, whilst helping the rescue at the same time.
ALSO our amazing licenced veterinary technician friend

and assistant / husband Olaf are coming out and we are going to be offering some great low cost services.
- $5 Canine DAPP vaccines
- $5 Feline 1-HCP vaccines
- $5 Microchipping with FREE Lifetime Registration

Sam is happy to provide any of the above services to Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and Guinea Pigs!
Hopefully we will be able to help with lots of the pets in the community and have a great time meeting people - oh and raise some money and AWARENESS of our other community problems.
Donations are always welcome and very much appreciated!
Come out and say hello, we will be in our big white shuttle bus, and will have the canopy out with all our bargains underneath - pet services are carried out in the safety of the shuttle bus.

Give a Dog a Home Rescue is excited to announce we are holding another of our Low Cost Pet Services Program event -
WELLNESS on WHEELS on Saturday, 16th July 2022.
The YMCA in Dover-Foxcroft are again allowing us to set up at their location to hold the event and we will be there from 10am - 1pm.
We will be working on a FIRST come, FIRST served basis, although we hope to have an online booking system set up for those not wanting to wait - more details will be posted if I get that up and running in time 
Samantha our licensed veterinary technician is volunteering her time again to come and offer the following services to Dogs, Cats, Rabbits & Guinea Pigs.
Nail Trims
Ear Cleaning
Microchip & FREE Registration
Anal Gland Expression - Dogs only
Canine Distemper Vaccine - DAPPv
Feline Distemper Vaccine - 1-HCPv
We will stop the service if your pet is getting too stressed (mainly nail trims) so if you know your pet struggles or gets anxious, it is best to take them to a veterinary clinic, where more trained staff are available.
All services are available for a $10 donation - per service.
We are not able to offer the rabies vaccine as we do not have a licensed veterinarian.
We will be bringing some of our PET PRODUCTS that we have in our Pet Product Fundraiser to raise much needed funds for the rescue and our community programs, including the FEED the NEED Pet Pantry and we of course appreciate any donation.
Give a Dog a Home Rescue is a 501c3, Tax exempt non-profit and all donations are tax deductible by following IRS guidelines.
Please share this wonderful event, we are excited to help our
communities as times are clearly going to get more difficult.
We look forward to seeing you and your precious pets on Saturday 16th July.
REMEMBER - ensure pets are either in a secure carrier or have a collar / harness that is fitted correctly and leash.
