REX has to be one of the happiest dogs alive. Since he was saved from Garland Kill Shelter where he was tagged "rescue only" because he is Heartworm positive, he has done nothing but smile and wag his tail.

He has been estimated at between 3-4 years old, and has a fantastic, great personality. Upon arriving at the rescue and being introduced to the pack (36 other GSDs) he got stuck right in there, meeting and greeting everyone with complete confidence, but no attitude.

He is obedient, he does come when called, and he will sit very excitedly as if he expects a treat, which tells me he has been someone's pet.

REX as mentioned is Heartworm POSITIVE and is scheduled for treatment the first week in May, he is currently on a month of the antibiotic doxycycline, which kills of the bacteria the worms produce to make the treatment less invasive.

REX will be able to get adopted BEFORE treatment on the provision that his new family take him for his appointment.
