KODA was saved from BARC shelter in Houston. He was an owner surrender because they couldn't care for him and he kept escaping.

KODA is a great boy, he is responsive and friendly. He is well mannered and only jumps up occasionally and that is more when he see's the other dogs doing it. Since being at the rescue KODA has never tried to escape, he has never been seen to be looking for possible escape routes and is very content.

KODA is great with other dogs, although he is not fearful of letting them know he wants to be left alone. We do not have cats in rescue and so we are unable to say how he is with cats. His owners said he kept escaping, but that is most likely as he was being left with nothing to occupy his mind and no way to expel his energy. KODA is very affectionate and loves to be as close as he can and of course loves to have his ears and belly scratched.

KODA, as with all dogs will benefit with some training from his new family so that boundaries and expectations can be laid down and to give both time to bond and learn each others ways and body language. KODA as mentioned is very responsive and with a family that understands German Shepherds mental and physical needs would be a pleasure to train with.

KODA is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed and micro-chipped. He had tested positive for heart-worm disease, however, he received treatment on 3rd/4th February and made a great recovery with no concerns.  KODA has a date of birth of approximately January 2013 and weighs around 75-80 pounds.

KODA is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.
