THELMA and LOUISE are sisters whom were on death row for being fearful. GaDaH saved them from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 27th March 2015

Both girls are extremely bonded and was very fearful when they was picked up. At the rescue they was still very quiet and unsure what was going on. They didn't want to bother with the other dogs and kept themselves to themselves for the first 2 days.

THEN - they decided that the GaDaH pack are not so bad after all and they are happy to be amongst them playing and wrestling - although they tend to stick playing with the puppies and smaller dogs and not so much the adult German Shepherds, but enjoy lying amongst them.

THELMA is very affectionate, as soon as she sees me she comes running over with her tail wagging so much they are nearly hitting her nose :) She loves to be cuddled and she cannot give enough kisses. She does jump up a little, but this is a lot to do with being amongst a lot of dogs and so are competing for attention and then of course she has not had any training, which would easily teach her that jumping up is not acceptable.

THELMA is very sweet and play great with all other dogs and truly is a pleasure to have around.

THELMA will benefit from basic and advanced obedience training from her new family. This not only teaches her manners, but also helps set the boundaries and expectations of her new family and home. It also allows both humans and dog to learn each others personality and body language.

LOUISE has been adopted and THELMA is waiting for her perfect family to find her.

THELMA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested negative for heart-worm disease and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 23 March 2013 and at the time of rescue weighed around 20 pounds.

THELMA is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.
